John es autor de numerosos artículos, ha sido presidente del Capítulo de Chicago de ISPI (CISPI) y como co-Presidente de el track the coaching para la Conferencia ICF de 2003. Es co-Director Ejecutivo de The International Journal for Coaching in Organizations.
John obtuvo un Master en Psicologia clinica y del desarrollo de la Universidad de Illinois en Chicago y ha completado cursos de postgrado en J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.

A performance technologist and executive coach, John is President of John B. Lazar & Associates, Inc., a firm that enables individuals, teams and organizations to achieve breakthrough results and business success. He has worked with clients in the electronics, food processing, dairy, interior design, oil and gas, and telecommunications industries.
John is an associate with the Federal Consulting Group, the franchise of the U.S. Department of the Treasury that provides executive coaching for managers and executives within the Federal government.
He has spoken at ISPI, the International Coach Federation (ICF), the Organization Development Network (ODN), local chapters of ISPI and American Society of Training and Development (ASTD), and local chambers of commerce on topics of front end analysis, assessment instruments usage, HPT and eldercare, leadership, effective listening and communication, and coaching.
He is a published author, a past president of the Chicago Chapter of ISPI, and currently the Co-Chair of the Executive Coaching Track for the 2003 ICF Conference. He is Co-Executive Editor of the International Journal of Coaching in Organizations.
John earned a Master Degree in clinical and developmental psychology from the
University of Illinois at Chicago and has completed graduate courses in business
at the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.
He is certified as a master coach (MCC) by the ICF.
